Visual regression: catching shifted pixels

Unit tests will not notice that padding became 6px instead of 8px or that the primary button lost border-radius. Visual regression testing compares screenshots of stories (or pages) to a baseline and shows the diff.

For design systems this is a critical layer: the visual contract is part of the product.
